Block Sealer, New headgasket
Hello, I read on the "dreamwerks" site that one of the steps in a new head gasket was to add a 1/2 vile of block sealer for the initial run up.
Is there a product that is acknowledged as the one to use? |

I wouldn't think that's necessary but I'd give them a call and see what they recommend.

I actually did give them a call.
They said it was old information and they haven't done that for a long time. |

Re: Block Sealer, New headgasket
While block sealer may not be necessary it is very good insurance that the head won't have to come back off to try and correct the problem . The cost of the sealer will be small compared to the price of another head gasket and the labor that would be required .

Use ALUMA SEAL powder, it won't clog anything but leaks.

I use Barr's Stop Leak, 1/2 of a jar.
