Default Cowl Band photos...

I am in need of two photos of the cowl band. Both photos a the lower end for comparison.

1. The early 1930 cowl band;

2. The later 1930-1931 cowl band.

Please send them to [email protected]

Thanks.

Pluck

Steve,

See attached. the early band picture is from my 1930 roadster (Blue) and the more common band picture is from my 1931 Vicki (Copra).

Great job on your book by the way.

Paul

Pluck- Cowl band mounted on the car, or off the car showing the attachment hardware? Also, if folks are emailing the photos to you, will you post here when your goal is achieved?

I too, hope to learn something from this. My '30 Standard Two Window Fordor has a November 26th., '29 frame number, but has the shorter cowl band. I think my car was actually built a little further into 1930, perhaps the first three months as suggested by the current research. I would like to know just when the cutoff was for the change over.

Pluck...at our swap meet today I was looking at Allan and Leah Goodwin's 30 Tudor which sold today. I took a real good look and noticed the cowl band stopped at the top of the reveal....it also had eyebrow front fenders. Looked pretty much untouched other than a very old vinyl interior.

Here is a picture of my April, 1930 (according to the frame number) Murray town sedan original cowl. Looks like it will take the common shorter cowl band.
