Default '31 Running Boards

Does anybody know if the bracket that hangs down from the lower cowl is supposed to connect with the hole in the running board flange? I am trying to setup the running boards on a new chassis and want to make sure my alignment is correct.

Thanks

they are 30 running boards the fender bolts up to it and the fender set on the front outrigger on the frame, the running board aprons have no support in the front without the fender. the body only sets on the aprons with wood blocks and rubber pads there is no bracket from the body that connects the two,

JW, thanks for the reply. The part that I was initially reffering too was the hole located in that tab, hanging down from the door hinge post. As seen in the 1st picture, there is a hole in a tab that almost connects with the flange on the apron, but not quite. Do those holes need to connect, along with the front fender, or is that for something else?

Do you have the remains for the outer cowl skin? It wraps around that cowl post flange. My Roadster also has a tab on the floor sill at that point. From front to back it's cowl post flange, cowl skin, floor sill tab, and all three riveted together through that hole.

When you get the body blocks and pads in place it will raise the body slightly as it should be.

Thanks Marco, thats exactly what I needed to know. I do still have the quarter panels, but the bottoms were rusted out so no tab was evident. Thanks for the help!
