Default Roadster Pickup top bows

I am needing to restore the top bows on a 1929 roadster pickup. I have a old set that has the material missing from the inside of the piece that goes forward from the bow to the windshield. I am not sure how to go about replacing the material as it looks like old hard cork or maybe some kind of wood. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a new set of top bow for the roadster. They are surplus to my needs and I will let them go for a fair price.
