Default Information needed please

I am helping a friend who's house I remodeled a few years ago. Her husband has a Model A, and he so loved that car and would drive it to the local car shows, and he loved to talk about it, and he took great care of it.

Long story short he passed away back in December, and his wife would like some information about it before possibly offering it for sale. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a nice 29 deluxe that needs a top or top repair. I'd guess that's a temp gauge on the steering column.

Thank You. Yes, she had accidentally punched a hole in the top while moving something, and the rumble seat back is not lined up right with the metal.

Find a local club and have them go over it for her.

It has a 30/31 steering column in it.
Great looking car. Thank you Lunchbox, for helping this lady.
I'm certain that she is truly grateful. Good Luck. Jeff

remove the car from the dirt floor, the moisture will eat it alive. In Fla closed space no air movement
fresh air and sun shine will add a lot to the life of the car.
you can see rust or mold on the walls already.

Help your friend get the wheels up off that dirt floor onto wood blocks or whatever. Then, have her get a shoebox or whatever and put everything and anything about the model A in it. That is a beautful car and deserves at least a cloth not plastic car cover. Wish her my best, and I’m sorry she lost her husband, and don’t let her poke any more holes in it.

I agree with finding the local club. If her husband was connected to a local club they would be her best bet. And, yes, help her get it stored a little better in the meantime.

Don't tell her it is a deluxe, because it ain't. As Brent noted, Ford did not offer a deluxe roadster in 1929, and erroneous information could work against her.

Also, pictures of the engine will provide valuable info.

Sorry about the deluxe comment. I just saw the cowl lights and made an assumption, not based on any knowledge about 29s. A good reminder to only write what you know to be true, rather than what you think might be the case. :-(

No worries. We've all done that.
