Default 1931 Ford Deluxe roadster stanchion liners.

Was the original stanchions stainless steel and have a stainless steel liner? I am working on my windshield frame and notice mine are stainless steel and look old inside but have no liners like the vendors show for reproduction ones. Are mine an early reproduction that was cheaply made without a liner or was original liner regular steel and someone removed the? They look dirty and used inside lots of dirt and grime and the upper and lower cups are rust pitted like being very old. The stanchions look good otherwise so I don't know if just buying liners will fit or work.

The original stanchions were stainless. The cups were steel. Liners were stainless and spot welded in a few places to keep them in.
