Caps and rotors are hard to find, I think they were from some model of old dual coil Lincoln (rare). The only advance provision is the cable. They were high quality with the shaft riding in ball bearings.

Ed Winfield was the guy that ground the cam in that flathead ignition. Very accurate and was a major reason it worked so well. I know that cus Kong told me. Here is Kong Jackson, Ed Winfield and me in 1976 in front of Ed's house, Notice the front drive Kong Ignition on my banger . He only built one of those. Boy that engine ran well

I have done a few Kongs over the past few years for customers . It is a really quality unit and looks pretty racey on the flatheads .
The cable advance really isnt a problem and works very well especially in a racing application. You just warm the engine up slightly retarded and then pull in the advance to what ever you want ( very adjustable). Can be ran on the street if the operator pays attention.
I was helping roofman on this one and i have some of these rotors but havent found them in my stash yet ???
I did buy this one on ebay but its the correct set up for the brass ring on the cap top and off set etc but is the wrong shaft size . The Kong is 5/8 and this one is 1/2 . Fits the NASH dual coil .....
Oh well i will keep looking in the stash .........

Correct Murree. A real nice restored Pounden. I hav 3 sets of the twin V drive mags. They came from your part of the world Murree 1 from Denmark 2 from Sweden. I have many more flathead magneto’s & hot rod distributors. Maybe I need to post them on here sometime.

Towards the end, Kong used a Toyota cap and rotor set up. The first units used a cap from Lincoln and another one I can't recall.

Here’s some better pics of my Kong. Has straight rotor. Needs carbon brushes for rotor & cap.

Correct Tim. Would like an extra cap & rotor at a sensible price. Rotor is for 5/8 shaft.

Sensible is right. I've seen them for sale @ Hershey. $400-500 seems to be the going rate.
