Default Headers and a manifold heater on a 31?

I have an Aries muffler with the standard intake-exhaust-manifold heater box.

I was thinking of going with headers. Am I going to lose the ability to use the standard heater box with headers?

I haven't yet seen cast or tube headers that will work with a heater box. How does your box mount?

Headers are nice but not necessary, the stock manifold is quite efficient so I assume yours is too? If you are after performance, a bigger carb and more compression really help.

I have a 6.1 head, larger intakes, ported, overdrive, balanced crank.

I thought that headers would also add a few HP, but i would not install the headers if no one makes a heater for them.
