Oil pan removal easy?

Is it a tough job to remove the oil pan and change or fix front seal without removing the engine? It seems to be the only issue a front oil leak as the engine ran good just had a lot of oil coming from the front seal I imagine.

Just about any question asked here can be responded to by saying "do a search". Is that what this forum has come to? I sure hope not.

Not necessary to remove the engine to replace the front oil seal.
Put a block under the engine to support it.
Remove the front engine yoke support.
Remove the "porkchop" front timing gear cover.
Remove the crankshaft pulley.
Remove the rope seal from the oil pan and the porkchop.

Slide the lower seal under the crankshaft and into the pan.
Install upper seal in the porkchop.
A little grease on the seal and pulley eases the installation.

It is not really a hard job. the only real hard part is working on your back! LOL Or if the engine has worked too far forward and the front cross member interferes with the lip on the pan. Remember even if the oil is drained, there is still oil in the dipper tray.
MAG; WOW that is easier then I would have done or suggested.

There are bolts in the timing cover that if they don't have sealer will leak and you may think your front seal is bad. You could check them first and same you some major work!
