Default Eddie Meyer Intake Value

Just looking for some help here, Looking to get a Eddie Meyer intake for my Model a roadster build.

What can I expect to pay for one of these? I saw a couple on eBay for $600-$1200.

If you saw them selling for $600- $1200 on Ebay, isn't that what you can expect to pay??

Well everyone knows how skewed eBay prices are. Just wanted to see what everyone’s input was.

If you don't want to get into a bidding match on Ebay H&H sell them for $1100, Don Orosco sells them for $945 and Speedway Motors sell them for $629

Really, "everyone" knows?

If history is any indicator, it seems that if I was buying the price would likely in the $650 range. Of course, when I want to sell, fair price would more likely be $400 but I'd get a lot calls where the purchaser would ask " how low could I go"? and "does this price include shipping?"

If they are asking $600-$1200 that does not mean they are selling for the same prices. Take a look at sold items in the same category. That will give you a better idea of the real world prices.

I bought a repro '32-'48 Eddie Meyer intake from Don Orosco and I am quite happy with it. When I looked in Speedway's catalog, it was my understanding they were for the little 60hp engine, but maybe they carry both.

There are a few versions of Eddie Meyer intake manifolds.... The 1939 block letter water heated is the most rare but a very close reproduction was produced by Don Orosco. in 1940 a similar intake was produced with the teardrop logo in place of the block letters. These teardrop version were not reproduced. Both the block and teardrop were also sold with short straight risers for the carbs and also slanted mounts for use in speedboats. around the end or just after WWII the exhaust heated version was produced with the teardrop logo on the sides. This version was also reproduced by Don O. and Speedway motors.

There were also a few low manifolds but I don't know the details on them

as for values on the tall ones

Originals of the 1939 and 1940 are bringing in the $2000-$2500 range
The post ware design in the $800 to $1500 range

Reproductions are sometimes hard to tell apart but you can tell if you have them side by side.

I hope this gives some insight.
