Default 41 wheel wells

Are the wheel wells supposed to be painted black? How about the bottom of the floorboards under the car?

I am sure you are aware that woodie bodies for Fords were made in Iron Mountain and then sent on a skid to the final assembly point. The floors pans and most probably the wheel wells were painted with the interior metal color. On the 40 wagons this was winterleaf brown. I would look for the original color by slowly sanding or scrapping the inner wheel wells or if you are going to remove the body it will be underneath the wood parts. Good looking woodie!!
