conversion questions of 6V to 12V
will the stock 1948 ignition & light switch handle the 12V conversion or must they be replaced with a 12V unit?

Re: conversion questions of 6V to 12V
I am suprised to see no-one has answered my question. I am still searching for an answer plus the same question applies to the brake switch, the oil pressure unit on the back of the engine left side, the temp. brass units on each side of the heads(2) of them. I sure could use the answers guys.

Now to your question. The switches designed for 6 volts should work fine since the 6 volt systems require more amps. I am not sure if you will get the correct readings from the oil pressure and temp switches, you might post that question. Welcome to fordbarn. Charlie Stephens |
