Re: Trying to remove water pump-HELP!
Ok, just got my new "Leakless" water pump from Snyder's. Everything seems to fit well. Fan/pulley turn on pump without any binding on casting. I ground just a little of the rear of the shaft. I decided to stay with the original water pump mounting studs. Should I put a little blue Locktite on the threads of the studs? It didn't appear there was any when I removed the pump. Thanks again to everyone for all your help.

Smit
R/s / passenger side upper stud needs rtv or liquid Teflon The hole goes into the water jacket... The other three are blind holes and really don't need anything |

I never took the studs out. I was referring to putting the Locktite on the studs before I tighten down the nuts & lockwashers. |
