Re: Rust in the sediment bowl and lines
Thanks again everyone. So my plan is clean as best I can the tank in place. add Pencil filter and magnets.... i like the idea of a small one in the bowl, and all new fuel lines. Carb as I said seems to be in really good shape. It will be on the road this week for a shake down cruise.

Re: Rust in the sediment bowl and lines
The pencil filter I like! The magnets, not so much (I'm trying to figure out if a magnet will work on iron oxide) The "Shake down cruise" won't tell you much as it will probably run great fora while. It'll F.U. a couple of weeks from now when you're thinking , Ahh, I've got that licked! I have a pencil filter and a added filter in the sediment bowl and just yesterday, I emptied it. All they mean is you get longer stretches between carb take downs. Some day it will run out of rust!
