Default `931 de luxe roadster on You Tube

Just been watching a dedicated man starting a long dormant car . After many attempts it fires up ,great joy it runs !!! . Sadly this happens all too often and many a good usable engine with a halflife left in it gets ruined . The owner is blissfully unaware of what he is doing ,valve chest full of debris so no feed to the main bearings and oil pump screen submerged in gloop .Oil no doubt topped up with detergent multigrade say no more . After some minutes the engine sounded like a diesel . Surprisingly the many comments all congratulated the owner on his skillfull accomplishment ,no one said maybe you should have cleaned out the pan and valve chest first . Just my thoughts and of course it is his car !!!. I think all restorers should view that You Tube clip of the horror story oil pan.

John in Suffolk County England .

I saw that one also and agree. Couldn't bear to watch it to the end. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
