And, don't forget the primary purpose of a magazine as a bathroom read - even the advertisements are enjoyable to look at. Laptops and Ipads just don't seem to belong on the throne with you...

Re: Loss of Hot Rod Deluxe
I have almost 2 years left on my Street Rodder subscription as well as a multi year subscription to HR so I asked for a refund. The only reason I get HR is because it was very inexpensive. It wouldn't even be so bad if SR'r was offered online but to just end it like they did sucks.

I'm waiting for Alzheimer's to kick in a little bit; then, all of the old mags I have from the '50's through the '80's will be new again!

Re: Loss of Hot Rod Deluxe
JUst got my letter saying they discontinued Street Rodder. offered me an on-line sub. to some crap online magazine. gave me a ph.# to call if I had any questions.-- they answer the phone, say they are busy, send them an e-mail. no option to even be put on hold. piss poor way to do business.

I sent an e-mail a week ago and had a return e-mail saying a representative would contact me soon. I too had just added two years to my subscription to HRD

Re: Loss of Hot Rod Deluxe
Called them yesterday and got through. They cheerfully refunded my Street Rodder subscriptions, had $5 left on my old one and $95 on the new one one not started yet. Yea, it sucks, but as they say, nothing is forever.

Re: Loss of Hot Rod Deluxe
I haven't received a letter from SR. I just renewed for 3 years and found out about a week after the check cleared that all those magazines were dumped.

Re: Loss of Hot Rod Deluxe
Best of all you can have your car featured in the V8 Times by submitting a story and some pictures. People from different countries can read about your car or maybe even tech tips. Sure we have that here but when this server crashed the V8 Times will still be there.
