Best Reproduction Truck Beds ??
I am looking into buying a reproduction truck bed for my 1951 Ford F1. But am trying to decide what is the best company to go with.
I have heard good things about the Mack Products of Mack Hils, beds. Has anyone here purchased a repro truck bed? If so Could you tell me about it? maybe post a picture or 2. Thanks |

Picked up 2 beds from Mack Hils last month. 1 for my sons '39 pick-up and 1 for a friends '51 pick-up, both very nice. Quality is excellent. Extremely nice folks to work with. Wouldn't hesitate to order again.

Tom (dad) drove there for me to pick up the bed for my 39. He got to check out their place in person. His shipping charges were cheap but I couldn't get him to pay for the bed.

Re: Best Reproduction Truck Beds ??
Bought my new bed for our 1946 1/2 ton from Mac's Auto Parts. Delivery from Michigan to Washington State was only $200. I bought it all knocked down to save on freight. Also that way to make sure that it was put together exactly like the old bed that I took off of the truck. The new bed fit perfectly. Since it is so crisp looking and new, it looks a little out of place on our 65 year old pick up. There wasn't anything that I needed. They sent it all, they even provided me with rivit setting tools. They have my vote. Sale discounts do not apply to their bed prices. The metal that they used in the new alloy that resists rusting. We use our pickup daily and its new bed sctatches have not rusted in the last 10 months of being in the rain.

Mack Hils is in Moberly Missouri and you can get the complete assembled bed or, I believe you can get it unassembled. I have been to their plant and it is impressive. I recommend them.

I believe Macs Auto Parts gets their beds from Northern Classic, which is located in Michigan.
