generator brushes
Im replacing brushes on the starter and generator. On the starter I can pull the brushes up and let the springs hold them in place while assembling them. How do I hold the brushes on the generator? John

Re: generator brushes
I slip the end plate into place as I reach in with my fingers to hold back the brushes. I've also used a bent coat hanger to pull them back.
Remember, the shorter side of the brush always faces the pivot point (anchor post). |
