Default Camping at Hershey

We are thinking about bringing our RV to Hershey and dry camping in the camping field. Here is what I think we know now. No reservations. Just show up and pay for the remaining nights whether you stay or not. Any advice/ tips/info from folks who have camped there is welcome. How far to the gate? Are dogs allowed? How much per nite? etc., etc.. Thanks for the help.

Default Re: Camping at Hershey

Last time I camped there was 3 years ago. It was right across the road from the show. The Police stop the traffic every few minutes to let people across so you don't get run over. The cost was $200 for one night or the whole show. No hookups or anything like that. Had to pay down the road and then turn around and go back to the "camp ground". It seemed like a bit of a shit show(the way the camping was run). Hope it s better now. The best thing about camping is you have a bunch of like minded people all around you to shoot the breeze with when you need to sit and rest your legs.

Give the AACA a call they will let you know the facts. The motor home camping is on the old airfield directly across from the swap meet. If you can't get in at such a late date Hershey High Meadows campground is a couple of miles from the meet.
