MODEL T and the NYPD
I found this in one of my magazines, couldn't get a clear picture. It says that the NYPD bought 200 Model Ts in 1927.

Re: MODEL T and the NYPD
I imagine they purchased a lot of patrol cars & motorcycles every year. Those would have been the last of the Ts they purchased new. They likely purchased the new Model As the next year.

Re: MODEL T and the NYPD
Can you imagine the scene on the day the first Model A's were delivered? The officers hopped out of their T's for the last time, started their new A, stomped down on the left pedal, and didn't go anywhere!

Re: MODEL T and the NYPD
They certainly would have needed to know what the clutch pedal was for. They would likely want to know why there was no reverse pedal too. A lot of questions I bet.
