Default A hole in my floorboard???

I am considering installing an OD tranny in my '50 club coupe. I have been offered a rebuilt one for $700. After doing a little research, it looks like I may have to drill a hole in my floorboard for a kickdown switch below my accelerator pedal among other things. Is this right?
