Ahhh, I see someone clued him in. It did say "Model A Ford Engine Valve Lifter".

I saw this a few days ago. I find it hard to believe that the generator got thrown into the tree so hard it stuck.

More than likely was laid in the crotch of a tree and it grew around it. I've seen it with several things. Faster growing trees like Maples devour things pretty fast.
