No idea if it is similar to the '36 5 window, but what I did was take one of the manual brake rods, straightened out one end, cut it about 12 inches long, threaded the other end, and threaded the cable yoke on it. Then hooked all of it up to the existing emergency handle.

Someone makes a kit that mounts a disc brake on the pinion yoke for an emergency/parking brake. Mr. Google should help you out if no one else has a source or a better option.

If the rear is drums, get the stock parking brake handle and the stock front cable,

Then you will need 2 cables that work with your brake set up and one equalizer cable. Check around your area , some places still make custom cable assemblies

Some fab work is involved but i have done a bunch this way.

I have a extra stock parking brake handle for a 40 pickup

I did essentially what "Steve Kennedy" did when I had my '36.

I assume, there is that word again, that the Chev rear brakes had a provision for an emergency brake at one time. I would try to adapt the truck cables to activate that linkage.

If there is no provision in the rear brakes for an emergency brake, you can add a driveline brake, either drum or disc, at the output of the trans or input at the rear axle. I have mostly seen drum brakes used on the transmission output shaft.

Look at the setup on a C1 corvette. I think it can be applied to a hand brake in the 41. JMHO

Look at the universal cables sold by Lokar. You can cut and adapt them to the stock e-brake cable that comes from the handle.
