Hi again one thing I meant to mention was check out Jeffs 52-59 site on H.A.M.B under social groups good advice there also no cost to join.if you need help finding it ask someone on here will help

54Vicky I am using 6"x15" late model wheels which have the same back spacing as the wheels from the 60's and 70's. My wheels come from a 1997 Australian Falcon. They won't accept a dog dish type hubcap and the Fairlane full covers fit very snug. I do have a friend who runs the early original 5" wheels with full covers and do recall that he lost one on a run once. I think the secret is that the rims are different as they are specifically designed for tubeless radials and are not flat on the mounting surface. They have a small half circle indentation where the trim sits. This indent is to provide a better bead seal for the tyre sidewall. With the covers on part of the rim underneath is visible. I don't know what tyres would be a US equivalent.
