Default Main drive gear

Don't beat up too bad but I need the best coverage on this...........
Does anyone have or know of an available 17 tooth main drive gear for
the T 85 BW 3 spd trans ? This gear has the 1 1/16 10 spline and is 40%
bigger than the '49-'56 Ford/Merc part. This type trans was used in
big block Ford, Buicks, Olds, Packards etc in the mid 50's to mid 60's.
Gracias,
Charlie ny

I've seen them on flea-pay but not for a while. The 17-tooth was the first of the "diamond cut" type gears starting in 1951. A lot of the trucks should have had this transmission after 1951. Maybe Mac VanPelt has one.

Do you have a part number for that gear? I have a fair selection of NOS gears at the moment. Either the Ford number or one of the other common numbers like Perfection, Lempco or Republic.

Charlie, I did not have that gear. Sorry I missed your call about it.
