Master Cylinder Mount
I am currently in the process of converting another model a to hydraulic brakes.
This conversion will be using a '39 transmission with Cling's Adapter. Any ideas of where to mount the master cylinder without an unnecessary modifications would be much appreciated. |

Re: Master Cylinder Mount
Cling's makes and adapter for the 32 - 39 transmission. You should call Cling's and see what they recommend. They have always been very helpful when I talked to them.

Re: Master Cylinder Mount
The battery box Carl posted is what I have used on my Tudor for several years. Clings mount uses a single circuit master cyl. I like having separate front and rear circuits.

Re: Master Cylinder Mount
Go through my pics under "My 30 TS" and 'My coupe" in my profile. Both cars have Hyd Brakes. The TS is a welded plate that I did NOT weld to the frame, it was a previous owner. In my coupe, there was a forties Ford single outlet cylinder that I replaced with a Dual Cyl. This required making a new plate, but I used all the old mountings. It mounts on the flange of the cross member. I put a angle iron stiffener between between the cyl and the cross member to prevent flexing of the flange.
