Lightbulb Door lock securing screw 1939 ford pickup

I finally got my door lock securing screw drilled out (using a carbide drill) after breaking an easy out in it. Can any one tell me the length of the screw and the pitch, I tapped it to 10-32 just wondering if that is correct?

Regards,

Brian

I thought it was smaller than that if i remember either 6x32 or 8x32,it was a long time ago. Course if you tapped it already it makes no diff what it was before. I could be wrong.ken ct.Mine was a long allen screw.

I have to correct my above posting for 39 Most body styles the set screw is 89658-S7, that is a 3/16-32 X 13/16 headless set screw with a screwdriver slot. I am unsure that is the same screw for the pick up. In 1940 the screw changed to 10-32. You may want to check with Roy Nacewicz at [email protected] or with the resident PU expert Lawson Cox.
