Ian, looking at #1 on your list, why not just re-use the existing bushes for the time being. They will be easy to swap out at a later date once just the right parts drop into your lap.

Nylon has a big downside in that it absorbs water more then most plastic.
Otherwise it´s "slicker" then polyuretane that gives you a bit of the "rubber" friction if that is wanted in the aplication. Thermoplastic materials can be bought in different qualitys and density so polyuretane bushings can go from mild to wild still being polyuretane. |

I bought some bronze ones that should work. I didnt know that the rubber ones were not stock. I though it was going to be an off the shelf type thing. Shows you how much i really know...
