I remember when my Dad and Mon traded their 48 Merc in on a 51 Ford Victoria two door. they drove that tell the bought a 57 Ford Fairlane 500 It had the big V-8 and was painted mocha and cream. Great cars.

Looks like there are three coupes, and I can't see any rust holes in he usual places. It'd be a shame if someone doesn't rescue them!

I think the 'shoebox' term originated because when new these cars looked square compared to the fat fender '48 and earlier cars.

LOL, it's not my name, it's what they have been called forever! A Model A has fenders, the shoe boxes are somewhat fenderless compared to any earlier model. I don't care for the design, but I know there are a lot of people that love them. I like the early fender years with the fender off, now that will get me in trouble!!!!!
