Default 1934 Ford Greyhound hood ornament

Hey all,

Looking for a 1934 Ford Greyhound hood ornament/radiator cap. Is American Arrow Corporation still producing these? I just found out that Don Sommers, the owner passed away last July, God Bless Him!
Anyway, anyone have one of these hood ornaments that they would like to sell?
Please let me know by post on this thread.

Thanks!

You can Google American Arrow Corporation and you will find that they are indeed still in business and offer the '34 dog at $650.

Don also reproduced, in stainless steel, the top iron levers on '35 and '36 cabriolets that were originally pot metal.

I bought one a little while back. You won't find better one and these are stainless steel.
Well worth the $$$ in my opinion.

I bought one in the early 70's when he first started making them.$110 then. The only thing was that you could clearly see the ribs were cut in and not embossed.

I placed a chain on my 32 - 3/W V8 Goddess radiator cap which and I made and has a bit of history. they reckon old women are the worst ones to remove them.
1932 Ford models did not come out with ornamental radiator caps as a extra, they only had a plain cap

Here is an original I found here in France of all places ,6 months ago.Appears to only really been used as display since it was on that wood base.It was listed on France's equivalent of Craigslist.

David.....not sure if I replied to your PM but you're nearly right....it's a Buick Special;ex Arizona car..white over pink...rust free and laser straight. Apologies for my bad taste in motorcars but as I get older I get sillier (know the feeling ?)...having said that I have owned and been in love with the chrome monstrosity for in excess of two decades.

Here's some more pictures and hopefully the RT Charger won't tip you over the edge?

Christmas greetings from UK nuts !

David,

I'm all in favor of eclectic tastes in most things. You must have a daily challenge in deciding which one to drive (I recall your having others as well). At least the Buick is a Special and not a Limited.
