Default Front Hub Caps

It has always bothered me that the front wheel bearings are not protected with additional hub caps. I suppose the wheel hub caps should suffice.

I saw these in a surplus store and I tried putting them up to the front wheel hubs to see if they would fit. It appears I would have to increase the lip inner diameter by about 0.020" to make these fit.

Have any of you thought had similar thoughts about the front wheel bearings?

Snyders has the grease cups for sale. Part number A-1138. The parts catalog also tells you how to grind down the bearing retainer washer. $3.25 each

Thanks! I will buy a couple to put on my '29 Tudor.

Have you used these? It seems like a good idea. Note I saw another thread on hub caps and I have posted the question there.

I have these grease cups on my car. They keep things a little cleaner IMHO. The Snyder's book says "This little gadget is the one that Henry forgot until late in 1931." Grind down the bearing washer a little and they should work fine for you.
