Changing tires on a 26 T
Now this you would think would be simple. I know how it suppose to work, but dang, it just don't. How do you keep from pinching the tubes? Borrowed a tool to pull the rim to get it off, is there a different one to push the rim back together? Thanks for any tips or instructions. Jon.

Re: Changing tires on a 26 T
Wood wheel with split rim? If so YOU NEED RIM FLAPS, ask for them at Coker or other Vintage Tire dealers. The way I mount them is to install the inflated inner tube (just blump enough so ther are no wrinkles, install the heave RIM FLAP, then work in over the rim. If you have a three legs rim spreader just crank it closed and your are ready to mount it on the wheel then inflate the tube to proper pressure.
