Default Rust 911 or evaporust

I have a container of "rust 911" that i have just used a couple of times. It has turned black and i am wondering if i can add new product to this used stuff or is the black used product going to spoil the new batch? Also what steps are needed to paint the derusted part? Do you have to wash it in water, or kerosene, or paint thinner or what? Jack

I haven't had much luck with the Rust 911 once it turns black. On the derusted parts
I wire buff them and then wipe them down with lacquer thinner or degreaser and
then primer.

With Evaporust don't seal it up once it's used, it needs air or it will "die" ? I've put a hole in the lid and a piece of vacuum hose it vent the container!

My neighbor gave me some Evaporust that had turned black, and it wouldn't do a thing, so I threw it out. I wouldn't mix it with new good stuff.

I have used both 911 and evaporust no difference in how they work. Cost is less for 911. When they turn black toss it. I have tried adding more to the batch--did not work its done when it turns black
