Default They’restill out there! My recent barn find!nt

My recent barn (fresh) find. Out of a warehouse since 1972 Photo's as found. Should I clean it up to sell or leave it as is? it's got a 59A engine with duel carbs (froze up) converted to hydraulic brakes, Repainted reupholstered, newer top , done back in the 1960's Purchased from the family of the original owner. Rust free, was black, before the blue. Not all hacked up, the frame is smooth and pit free, as is the body. If you go to YouTube look up ( https://youtu.be/FpLjRZY46I0 ) There is a series of video's of the haul-out. I pulled out the side panels in the rumble seat and viewed inside the fender wells, clean rust free. If anyone has a sincere interest in this 1933 Cabriolet, I may possibly sell it. I'm 75 and don't think there's enough time left to get this done. Frank PKNY.

I can never understand the logic behind not cleaning up a car that has decades of dust and dirt on it. But having said that, there does seem to be an awful lot of people who are willing to pay more it seems for a car found with all the crap stuck to it. I think if you are going to sell it, I would go ahead and sell it as is. That my opinion.

Great find. Glad its out of its slumber.

First, pull all the plugs and fill each cylinder with Marvel Mystery Oil or other penetrant. While it's soaking, wash and detail that car! Forget the dirt-loving mental patients! They can shovel their own dirt on it after they buy it! Treat that prized find with some respect!!
You don't have to redo the whole car. Just go through the brakes and get the engine running and enjoy!

Some say a true barn find has to have the dirt on it...

You can hose it off and flip it just as easily as dumping some dirt on it.

But you have it now and can enjoy it too. Have fun!

You're 75. What use is money to you? You don't need time to get it done; it is already done! It doesn't need restoring. Simply clean it up, fix brakes, fuel, electric issues, won't take much. So you do have time.
You are very fortunate to have come across this, I'm envious. Keep it, don't sell it.

That is one neat Barn Find. That Pickup front bumper is a sought after item. Doesn't look like it would take much to get it going and have some fun with it.
