Default '39 Pickup Frame

Yesterday I removed the cab and rotten bed from my 39 pickup. All the rest of the body is in OK shape. The frame however , aft of the cab, is a welded up POS. Does anyone know for certain which other frames are the same ? I have access to a set of 41 car siderails if they will fit. The rear crossmember over the rear spring is mangled up and the inner X members are crappy also. Does anyone have another frame or the parts I would need to repair this one. I think Precision Coachworks may have some of the X member stuff. I am in Virginia near the Chesapeake bay. Ophelia. Thanks

I sent you a private message giving you the email of a friend in Norfolk who may be able to help.

'35-'40 car and '35-'41 pickup frames are similar....don't think the '41 car will work....good luck....Mike

Complete frame rails are avail and the replacement metal from Precision Coachworks is good quality. good frames are hard to find but sometimes street rodders replace with aftermarket frames
