Default 28/29 AA Truck front spring question.

I have a 29 AA truck with a broken front spring . The main leaf has broken close to the perch . I cant see how many leafs this spring has until I remove it .I have found a good spring which has 15 leafs counting the top one . Is this spring AA 5310-D ??? Special Equipt. with 14 leafs and you dont count the top one ??? Just thinking . The original spring the leaf had been cracked halfway through for a long while so was an accident waiting to happen luckily not driven since in from Arizona .

John in very hot humid Suffolk County England .

Thinking about it I guess AA 5310-D is for the later wider AA spring . What number of leafs were standard equipt on the 28/29 AA truck I ask myself . Back to the parts list .

John in same place same weather.

John, The stock AA front spring for 1928-1929 consisted of 12 leaves. See attached image. Note that all leaves were AA parts except the 12th (top) leaf which was A-5323 (for the A chassis spring this was the top leaf).

There was an 18 leaf assembly consisting of all AA parts. See attached image.
