After thinking about it, I believe I was right the first time. As I remember it, the commercial started with the dog barking, then "That's my dog Tige, he lives in a shoe, I'm Buster Brown, look for me in there too!".

Automotive Stud must think we are a bunch of crazy old coots! I guess this is only slightly off topic! He hasn't sent me his mailing address!

Actually, I "googled it" and there seem to have been two versions (neither of which I had correctly) : "I'm Buster Brown, I live in a shoe. That's my dog, Tige, he lives there too!" (or "Look for him in there too.")

I remember the second one.
You guys are friggin' hilarious! This thread really took a turn towards putting a big ol' smile on my ugly puss.
Coopman, yer about right. SS is right around the corner for me.

How about those serials that were on the Saturday matinees. Zorro, Don Winslow of the Navy, Flash Gordon, etc. For 25 cents you got a full feature movie, usually Roy Rogers or Hopalong Cassidy, the news reel , two cartoons and a serial. The serial always ended with the hero in a perilous situation. That way you came back on the following Saturday to see what happened. Fun times that will be in our memories forever.

Haha! I'm getting a kick out of this also. I appreciate all of you on this thread, and I appreciate you digging that up. I rummaged through some spare parts I had and thanks to that picture that was posted, I found I'm not missing the piece after all! So I guess I do have everything I need. I really appreciate the offer!

Great! At least now you know what it looks like and that you have one.
Continued good luck on your 40!

"Quick Draw" was a step down from Huckleberry Hound", in my opinion.
"I'll do the thinnin' around here Baba-Louey!"
