Default 1931 Ford Woody Delivery Station Wagon

City: Little Chute
State: WI
Price: 45,000

High caliber restoration of a 50’s style street rod with superb styling, design, and finish. This is a must see car that has been stored in a heated garage for over 20 years with basically 0 miles since completion.

Body: Shortened in length by approximately 6″, which produces flowing lines that bring the body to life.
The Pro Built body is made of the exact types Henry Ford used in 1931. The sub-floor is white oak, the plywood is a 7 layer spiral cut non-seamed birch. The remaining trim is hard maple. The stain is natural light mellow tone and is finished with 2-part epoxy urethane. All exterior metal is painted in PPG concept urethane.
The top is all one piece made out of German Haartz cloth.
The original Woody cowl section has been chopped 2 1/4″ with a 1932 metal header atop the crown.

Interior: Wrapped in Burgundy Italian calfskin leather. The headliner is one piece which drapes down in the back to a Hawaiian theme in a layered dimensional mural of mountains, oceans, and palm trees. The leather encircles the rear interior which opens to encase the spare tire, jack and jack handle. The folding rear seat is from a Ford Pinto station wagon. The front seats are from a Fiero and adjust forward, backward, as well as recline for comfort and room.
1932 dashboard. The deuce dash is an original Stewart-Warner marine instrument panel with Steward-Warner gauges.
The steering column mount is an English Matchless motorcycle connecting rod that has been chrome plated. The steering column and steering wheel are from a 1956 Ford pickup truck. The two pistons, one on the top of the gear shift lever and the directional are chrome plated.
Custom made console holds an AM/FM/CD quadraphonic stereo system as well as switches for the 2-speed self-parking windshield wiper, electric fuel pump, electric fan override and front and rear dome light.

Engine: 1950 Mercury flathead V-8 with a polished Delbruck High Rise intake manifold with two fully polished Stromberg 97 carburetors. The engine has polished Edelbrock heads, a Mallory ignition, and chrome headers which flow back into the stainless steel polished exhaust that has a mellow tone. The rare Tommy Thickstun air cleaner is the crown jewel of the engine.
Inside the engine, there are three 5/16 Ross pistons and rings, a Manley stainless steel hi-flow intake and exhaust valves with Johnson adjustable lifters. There is a 4″ stroke on the crank. To help the engine breathe it is ported, relieved, and polishes. It is cooled off with a Walker radiator and electric fan.

Transmission: The transmission comes from a 1939 Ford. The stock flywheel is lightened 5 pounds and carries an 11″ truck clutch. The transmission was rebuilt with mainly NOS parts.

Suspension: The front suspension consists of a 4″ magnum dropped axle with stainless steel shackles, a Deuce Factory bar suspension, 1948 Ford spindles, Deuce factory stainless steel drag link and tie rod. The Model A drive shaft is connected to a 1932 rear-end, with Mr. Roadster chrome plated coil overs and an anti-sway bar to round out the rear suspension.
