Default Manifold heater

Will an Auto-lite model 1110 manifold heater fit a stock manifold or is it for use with a waffle type exhaust manifold? Also would it be comparable with the reproduction firewall doors? Thanks

I don't know the answer to the OP's question but I have a manifold heater like the vendors sell. It says MODEL A on it but it came with the car and no mounting hardware. Does anyone know if I can make what is necessary and where there are plans. Maybe someone has the mounting hardware for sale. Sorry to steal this thread. Jack

IMG_6850.jpghope this helps, I have a stock manifold it has the Auto Lite heater. mine just sites on top no bolts to hold it and it is easy to remove and replace. it looks to have a stock heater door hook up with about 2" of the metal flex pipe between it and the fire wall. not been in the A's long but this is what i can tell you about mine.IMG_6855.jpg

My heater says MODEL A on it and just slips on the top. It has an arrangement for a bolt to go to a head nut, but I just use 10" stainless hose clamps and snug them up after going through and around the manifold and heater.

I believe the AutoLite 111 heater cover goes onto the waffle manifold. It should have to bolt holes on the top.

Maybe the attached photos will help. I bought my heater from Mikes-A-Fordable, Snyders also has one and probably most of the other suppliers.

The pictures and attachment were right side up on my computer.

Be thrifty about using that old bailing wire (collectors item). They tie those bales with string now. Note: new stuff not good for holding parts on with...especially "hot" ones.

I think the pictures that jwilli posted are enough for me to work with. I was concerned about the rattling if I just stuck it on top of the manifold. Jack

In the back of Chiefs' service truck, an old roll of HAY twine. Tied it to a post & off to the field. On the way back, he found the end of the string, 2 1/2 MILES AWAY

I used to have a garage that was stucco. Whenever I need a piece of with I would snip it off the inside of the garage.:-)
