Manifold heater
Will an Auto-lite model 1110 manifold heater fit a stock manifold or is it for use with a waffle type exhaust manifold? Also would it be comparable with the reproduction firewall doors? Thanks

Re: Manifold heater
I don't know the answer to the OP's question but I have a manifold heater like the vendors sell. It says MODEL A on it but it came with the car and no mounting hardware. Does anyone know if I can make what is necessary and where there are plans. Maybe someone has the mounting hardware for sale. Sorry to steal this thread. Jack

Re: Manifold heater
IMG_6850.jpghope this helps, I have a stock manifold it has the Auto Lite heater. mine just sites on top no bolts to hold it and it is easy to remove and replace. it looks to have a stock heater door hook up with about 2" of the metal flex pipe between it and the fire wall. not been in the A's long but this is what i can tell you about mine.IMG_6855.jpg

Re: Manifold heater
My heater says MODEL A on it and just slips on the top. It has an arrangement for a bolt to go to a head nut, but I just use 10" stainless hose clamps and snug them up after going through and around the manifold and heater.

Re: Manifold heater
I believe the AutoLite 111 heater cover goes onto the waffle manifold. It should have to bolt holes on the top.

Re: Manifold heater
I think the pictures that jwilli posted are enough for me to work with. I was concerned about the rattling if I just stuck it on top of the manifold. Jack

Re: Manifold heater
I used to have a garage that was stucco. Whenever I need a piece of with I would snip it off the inside of the garage.:-)
