Default 56 ford data plate location

First time in this forum. Have spent most of my previous "question asking" in the Model A forum. We're looking to buy a 56 Fairlane Victoria. Have been doing some research on Data Plate information but have not found a definitive description of where to find it on the car. Can someone point me in the proper direction?

Driver's side door jamb below the windshield, i.e. on the dog-leg.
