Need help identifying a differential

Well I finally got the rear end torn apart today, wasn't as bad as I feared. Everything looks in good shape even though it has never been serviced. It has 30 teeth on ring gear and 10 on pinion, the ring gear is 8", and the pinion feels like it has plenty of crush. Will be cleaning things and checking bearing no's, there are some no's on the ring gear (Ford U.S.A. AF-4210-C and a star ) (R 833) (801 Shift No. 2) all are stamped around outer part of ring gear. I found a bolt inside pinion housing (looks like maybe a rod bolt) the crush sleeve had a broken chunk out of it and it had been turning between the bearings which were not tight like I expected. The pinion nut was not tight, one smack on impact and it turned all the way off, didn't have a backup on u-joint. Guess maybe I've found my whine from the rear end. I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw the bolt inside pinion housing. Al

My uncle said that bolt was one that holds the third member to the housing, some salvage yards don't take the time to work the tm out of the housing. They tap the bolts in then the tm just falls off, sometimes a bolt will get in the gears, and is installed in a different housing. Sometimes they cause a big problem, other times they don't.

Well it turns out it was a bolt that goe's in the rear housing that holds the third member ii place. I was cleaning the housing out today, and there it was, but all 10 of the bolts were in place. Wish I could post pictures to show what the crush sleeve look's like. Got evertything cleaned and waiting on parts. Al
