N.D. Junkyard
This is the coolest junkyard. It is truly one stop shopping! The sheetmetal is amazingly solid. It is in Wishek, ND and yes, this stuff is for sale!

How do you get there. Besides in a hurry. What highway. I got vacation in January. A long bed truck and a 25 ft low boy trailer.

And presumably no idea what the weather will be like. Saw someone just last weekend with Texas plates on a F150 -- just like oil on your shoes and walking on wax.
Suggest you plan for a late spring venture north. There is no hurry in snow. |

Re: N.D. Junkyard
Any contact information about who owns the junkyard? Showing up unexpected might not be productive.

Re: N.D. Junkyard
It's called Martel's. Mike Martel owns it, is in Wishek, No. Dakota, which is in the south-central part of the state, below Napoleon. You won't get much this time of the year. Nobody wants to go out in sub-zero temperatures to pull a $25 part. You really need to call first. It is best to let Mike get to know you. He's been jerked around by so many tire kickers over the years. He is a bit of an enthusiast himself, knows what he has, but is fair in his pricing. I will post his # Monday, his card is in my office.
On Google Earth you can see the junkyard on Rt. 3, west of town. Here's a couple more pics. |

Re: N.D. Junkyard
What a collection. If I had deep pockets, I'd be broke in a hurry at a place like that!

Re: N.D. Junkyard
I wish we had anything like that in Florida,so far if I see anything at all it is buried up to the doors and rusted beyond repair.I guess no one lived here before the 70's.
