Re: 57 ford went of the road
I recommend getting stainless steel replacement lines from someplace like inline tube, but they're more expensive. Well worth it though if you live in the rust belt.
After my car frames had been sandblasted, I painted them with a super good quality black metal primer and high-gloss black overcoat. They still look good after many decades of use. My neighbor and I went to look at used trucks, as he was searching for one. Most of the trucks they had were 2004-2010 models (all chebbies except for one Ford F150). Every chebby had last rear frame crossmember nearly desintigrated and some even had the second to last crossmember gone from rustout. We saw one where someone had replaced the second to last crossmember with a piece of pipe. Almost all the frames were very rusty. I have tried to replace rusty nuts and bolts under the car with stainless steel when doing service work. |
