Default Clutch adjustment

I am adjusting the clutch in my Model A Town Sedan after rebuilding the motor, transmission, and installing a new clutch.
I want to make sure that the throwout bearing does not ride on the clutch fingers.

As I take up the slop in the linkage, I can feel the spring that returns the bearing but can’t tell if I am just stretching the spring (it takes a lot of force to go further) or if it is touching the fingers.

It currently grabs about 1 inch off the floor and in my opinion is too low.

What do you guys do?

If you take the little cover off the bell housing you can see the trough out bearing and exactly what is going on.

WMWS x 2 If you take that cover off and run the engine in neutral you should not see the throw out bearing spinning. It may turn slowly but should not be spinning at engine speed. I like the clutch low but it seems to me you may be a bit too low. Back off a turn and see how you like it.
