Default Original popout or not???

Does this look like an original 30-31 popout or and older aftermarket one. No Ford numbers found. Any help appreciated.

To me it appears to be original. The key is not original.

Test the switch, when the pop out is closed it should be grounded, when open the ground is removed. This was a safety feature to keep someone from hot wiring and stealing the "A".

If every test ok, use it. A lock smith should be able to make you a extra key.

Here's a picture Tom W posted a few years ago of the round speedo
number location.

Sure looks original to me, and it's made to fit cars with the round speedometer.

Sorry. your switch is not original. It was made by Mitchell as an after market replacement. These switches look original but the pot metal distributor end and retention screw on the right side is a dead give away.

Dick Crabtree really knows his popouts. I would trust him to ID the popout - 100%.
