Default writer's voice

Another thing.

I’ve discovered that there are times when I shouldn’t have a wrench within reach or a car within wrenching distance. For some reason, that is when I can put words down like no other time. I’ve discovered my writer’s voice because of the Ford Barn, and I want to thank you all for that.

I look at these past posts and by god you can sure tell if it’s Wingski. I think I’ve almost caught up with Fresno Bill.

Mike:

Your writer's voice is doing well. You have a lot to offer the group.

Not to hijack this thread, but I just couldn't resist See below.

My #%&*@ neighbors are setting off bombs outside. I had to sedate my poor dog to keep him from shaking. My temper is at the bursting point. So, I thought I’d try to escape reality by logging on and what happened? You made me laugh out loud.

Thanks you guys and especially Keith,

Mike

Mike,
Dog & I went to bed EARLY, but in anticipation of BIG noises, I couldn't sleep NO Midnight noises, only a couple of "poofs" @ 11:00 ----Buster T, on his King Size Bed next to mine, NEVER even came out of his "Igloo", under the Fat Comforter
When he has ever heard LOUD "booms", he just does ANGRY, VICIOUS Barks. I previously had 2 Rat Terrier Females, Minnie Moo was REALLY fearful of Fireworks & LuLu would just go "HO-HUM"--I'm sure LuLu would have been a GREAT hunting Dog
Friend, Nancy, had a HUGE Rottweiler that had to be sedated & sleep in a small, closed, dark closet, until the noises were gone, that's SO SAD!
Nice to be back to a regular, quiet day
Bro Bill

Hey Mike, A fellow I knew started his writing career when he turned 80. That career spanned 15 more years. He passed a few years ago. But during that time he contributed to a twice monthly Old Car newspaper and wrote 3 novels. He just wrote short stories of his car experiences. His stories / memories were worth the price of the newspaper subscription.
His social calendar filled up quickly with requests of being the guest speaker. He started life fixing bicycles, then to cars....to writing. RIP Gord.
I hope your writings may be the start of a new career. Jeff
