68 F100 Value
I have been offered this 68 F100. It is a 6cyl 3 speed 74000 miles. Looks like original paint and is very nice. Any ideas of what a fair price would be? It's a 240 6cyl no PS or brakes no A/C, does have an AM radio. I see no rust and appears to have not been repainted. The owner is 92 and I want to be fair. Thanks, Art

Re: 68 F100 Value
Here in SoCal '68-'72 Ford p/u's in good condition have asking prices over 10 grand in some cases. Yours being a long bed decreases the value some what but given its condition I'm guessing it would bring at least $5.000.00 and maybe more. You can't find anything that's not a major project for less. But again this is JMO and its based on the SoCal market. Regardless the truck looks solid and would make a good every day going to the market driver.

In both pictures of the passenger side, the paint color on the box appears to be just a bit lighter than the cab corner and door. It's hard to tell on the driver side, because of the gas stained cab corner. Like Darrell says, check the front cab mounts over good. .

Re: 68 F100 Value
I thought it was about a 9500.00 truck but it sold yesterday for 13000.00 The owner, 88 years old. originally came to me asking to sell it for him trusting whatever I told him it was worth. He would have taken my offer if I had made it but I thought it was taking advantage of him so I listed it on Facebook Marketplace for 13500.00 and sold it in less than a day. Art

Re: 68 F100 Value
Yep, it's really nice that there are people out there looking out for the interests of older folks. They looked after our interests for many years without being asked to. THANKS!
