Default 1936 Front End Dissasembly

Next on my list is to disassemble the front end of my Fordor. I dropped the entire unit and need to take it apart in order to restore it.

Is there an information source in writing or maybe on YouTube that would cover this?

I can take it to a mechanic but part of the whole process here is to do as much of the work myself and learn along the way. Thanks!

You can do it yourself. Get the manuals and some tools. Don't know where you are in south Fl but, I have a spring spreader you could borrow if you are close to Coral Springs or Ft. Lauderdale.

If it hasn't been taken apart previously, why not take photos of it as you go and make a list of the fasteners removed and where they were located?

They are easy enough to do, but do not try taking the spring off without a spring spreader, as it could injure you.

Unfortunately my car is in NC and I'm near Jupiter, Fl. I have a small shop here and bring parts to restore and then take them back to NC to install on the chassis. I'm trying to get the knowledge on how to take the front end apart for when I go up the next time. It is always a quick trip and I try to cram as much work in as I can on my car.

Yes, I understand about the spring spreader and will use one. I have also taken lots of pictures and will continue to do so.

What manuals would you suggest?
