Default How to open up cowl lights?

I'm going to use the cowl lights in my '31 Dlx Coupe as front turn signals.

I can't figure out how to open them up so that I can change the bulbs!

I have a spare cowl light, but it has a screw on the back. The ones on the car have rivets.

Didn't want to try prying them off and risk damaging them.

the one with the screw in the back is early 30 take out the screw in the back and it will come apart the ones with the rivets are held together with a screw in the bottom of the front rim take the screw out and sometimes they can be stuck on there so take a small screw driver and pry it the ring off from the bottom

I looked through every book I had, but I hadn't thought of looking in the Judging Standards! I'll have to go there more often.

Be careful of the little clips that hold the lens on.. They can snap off fast!

If I wanted to pick up bulbs at my local auto parts store, what would be the part numbers? Is the part number different for yellow vs clear?

For that matter, does anyone have a list of all the industry part numbers for model A light bulbs?

The basic bulb number will be the same. Typically the bulb number is followed by "A" for amber.

There is a list of numbers which gets posted occasionally. Watch for replies.
