Default Install Optima Battery in Ford case

Who installs Optima batteries in Ford script reproduction cases? I have read a lot about this on Fordbarn and its time I give this a try. All help appreciated.

you can install a 6V Optima in a Ford V8 case. they are 1" longer than a Model A case.

I did try to figure out a way of doing just that. but failed. it would pretty neat if someone comes up with a way.

I made my own battery tie down out of aluminum stock . I put the battery on an angle connected it to the hold down screws also used the model a square hold down . Works great.

Why spend that much for just a battery. Optima sure has good marketing.

I got mine from Pepboys it was on sale and the price was the same as a regular battery.

Mine is set in the tray at an angle, corner to corner, and locked in place with a frame on top.

I usually got 7-9 years out of regular batteries, got 16 out of optima in the A, have another got in trash 8 years ago that is still starting a modern car ---

I have a gutted script case, the fit would be very tight, have to take a lot of structure out
